Learn about Courchevel, Meribel and Three Valleys lift passes
A quick guide to Three Valleys, Courchevel and Meribel ski passes
Make your life easier by ordering your ski passes through Ski Magic before you arrive on holiday. The price is just the same as you’d pay in the lift pass office, but without the queuing, and we will deliver your pass to the chalet so you can head straight out onto the slopes on your first day.
How to order lift passes
To order your passes you need to log in to your Ski Magic account (once you’ve reserved your chalet) and select the ski passes for your group. We’ll then order and pick up your passes in advance of your arrival, and bring them to your chalet. We don’t charge for this – it’s all part of the Ski Magic service! Payment is in in Euros, either in advance or in resort.
Types of ski pass
In the Three Valleys we have hands-free electronic lift passes – slip it into a jacket or trouser pocket on your left side to go through the barriers at the lift stations.
Adult passes: The age bracket for an adult ski pass here in the Three Valleys is 18-74 years.
Children Under 5: Upon provision of proof of age and a photo, children under 5 can have a free pass.
Family passes: With the family pass, everyone pays the child rate. A Three Valleys Family Flex skipass is available for a minimum of three people: maximum two adults aged 18 to 74 and at least 1 child aged 5 to 17. Up to 6 children can be included on the pass.
Veteran passes: A heavily discounted rate pricing is available for “Veteran” skiers, ie. those aged 75+ (nothing to do with military service!)
Pedestrian passes: the pedestrian (“pieton”) pass is a great way for non-skiers to meet up with the rest of the group in the mountain restaurants, and means that you can take in the incredible views as well!
If you just want to do a single journey as a pedestrian, you can purchase a single ticket to ride up one lift (the descent is always free), or a ride up two lifts to a summit on the same day, otherwise you can buy a week long pass, or for individual days. (See pricing chart below).
“We very much appreciated the lift pass delivery service, having had to queue for ages in previous resorts… We also appreciated the piste maps on all of the beds!”
The Courchevel, Meribel and Three Valleys ski pass areas
You can choose to buy either:
a) a single valley ski pass for Courchevel or Meribel valleys
b) a full Three Valleys pass
- For our chalet guests in La Tania and Courchevel Le Praz, choose either a Courchevel only ski pass, or a Three Valleys ski pass.
- For our chalet guests in Meribel, choose either a Meribel only ski pass, or a Three Valleys ski pass.
Should I choose a Three Valleys pass or a single Courchevel/Meribel pass?
If you wish to ski in Courchevel, Meribel, Mottaret, St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires AND Val Thorens, then it is cheaper to purchase a 3 Valleys pass rather than buying a single Courchevel or Meribel Valley pass and upgrading.
If you only want to ski within the Courchevel Valley (1850, Moriond, Courchevel Village, Le Praz and La Tania) then stick with the Courchevel pass.
If you only want to ski in the Meribel Valley (Mont Vallon, Mottaret, Meribel, Meribel Village) then stick with the Meribel pass.
There is plenty of skiing in the single valleys to keep beginner and intermediate skiers busy all week, but strong intermediates to experts will be keen to ski further afield and explore the 600km of pistes that the Three Valleys has to offer, and the price difference between the two is not huge, so it is worth the extra for the flexibility and freedom the Three Valleys pass offers.
